Contamina is a performing arts festival that took place in Piombino, Tuscany, during the strange summer of 2020, a low tide summer between the two waves that overturned the world as we knew it. The festival was one of the first moments of encounter among artists, audience, and institutions after the Covid19 Pandemic. The documentary, directed by Mattia Mura, recounts the days of the festival and gathers the reflections of those who took part in it, with contributions from artists on the national scene such as Francesca Della Monica, Claudio CollovĂ , Teatro nelle foglie, gli Omini, Agita Teatro, and the music of Melody Laughters. It is an important testimony for the world of independent performing arts, to allow it to exist, evolve, transform, and integrate into new spaces and new fruition. So as not to let it die.
