Drew Nikonowicz (b. 1993) is a photographer from Saint Louis, Missouri. His work employs analog photographic processes as well as computer simulations to deal with exploration and experience in contemporary culture. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 2015 he received the Aperture Portfolio Prize and the Lenscratch Student Prize.

In 2016, Nikonowicz participated in a year-long residency at Fabrica Research Centre in Treviso, Italy. This was the first time he had gone overseas. This documentary follows Nikonowicz through his year in Italy as he creates a new chapter to his award-winning project This World and Others Like It. It also serves as an invitation to explore and overcome your own limits.

Drew Nikonowicz (classe 1993) è un fotografo americano originario di Saint Louis, Missouri, vincitore dell'Aperture Portfolio Prize e del Lenscratch Student Prize. La sua ricerca indaga il ruolo della tecnologia nell'esperienza umana, attraverso una combinazione di fotografie analogiche e simulazioni digitali. Senza aver mai lasciato il suo paese prima, nel 2016 Nikonowicz partecipa a una residenza di un anno al Centro di Ricerca sulla Comunicazione di Fabrica a Treviso, in Italia. Dalla sua esperienza italiana nasce un breve documentario, che racconta Nikonowicz attraverso il processo creativo di realizzazione di "Notes from Anywhere", approfondimento del suo acclamato progetto "This World and Others Like It", e al contempo invita all'esplorazione, al viaggio e al superamento dei propri limiti.
